Upon your arrival at Guwahati airport, our representative will receive you and transfer you to Bhalukpong, a small town located on the border of Assam and Arunachal Pradesh. Bhalukpong is known for its scenic beauty and is the gateway to Arunachal Pradesh. After reaching Bhalukpong, check-in to your hotel and spend the rest of the day at leisure.
After breakfast, we will drive to Dirang, a picturesque town located at an altitude of 1,491 meters which is one of the best part of your Arunachal Pradesh 8 nights 9 days package. On the way, we will stop at the Tipi Orchidarium, a research center and museum that houses a large variety of orchids. After reaching Dirang, check-in to your hotel and spend the rest of the day exploring the town.
After breakfast, we will drive to Tawang, one of the most popular tourist destinations in Arunachal Pradesh which is included in your Arunachal Pradesh 9 days itinerary. Tawang is known for its stunning natural beauty and rich cultural heritage. On the way, we will stop at the Sela Pass, a high-altitude mountain pass that offers breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape. After breakfast, we will visit the Tawang Monastery, the largest monastery in India and one of the most important Buddhist monasteries in the world. We will also visit the Tawang War Memorial, a tribute to the soldiers who lost their lives in the 1962 Indo-China War. Later in the day, we will visit the Urgelling Monastery, the birthplace of the 6th Dalai Lama.
Begin your day by getting transferred for a sightseeing tour of the local attractions in Tawang. You can make an optional visit to Bumla Pass, notable as the route through which the Dalai Lama entered India. You will visit the picturesque Shonga-tser Lake, also known as Madhuri Lake, and the Taktsang Gompa. Next, explore the Tawang Monastery, the largest Buddhist monastery in India and stroll through the local markets of Tawang. Later, you'll be driven back to your hotel for an overnight stay.
After checking out from your hotel in Tawang, you will get transferred to Bomdila. Upon arrival, check into your hotel. Later, you will be driven for a visit to the Gontse Rabgyaling Monastery aka Bomdila Monastery (Upper Gonpa), known for its rich heritage and panoramic views, and Thub-Chog Gatsel Ling Monastery (Lower Gonpa), celebrated for its serene ambiance and spiritual significance. Afterwards, you will be driven back to your hotel for an overnight stay.
