LTC may be availed for travel to Lakshadweep through eligible modes of transport and, where applicable, through tour packages operated by the Society for Promotion of Nature Tourism and Sports (SPORTS) of the Lakshadweep Administration.

The journey must be undertaken within the prescribed LTC block period and the employee must fulfil the eligibility and procedural requirements, including obtaining prior sanction and submitting the prescribed claims and supporting documents.

Air travel, wherever admissible, is subject to the applicable Government instructions regarding authorized booking channels and fare limits. Employees should also ensure that the selected package and mode of travel are covered by the prevailing Government orders before making any booking. Reimbursement is therefore subject to the actual admissible fare and the LTC entitlement of an employee under the applicable rules.
