Your entry permit, all meals and airport transfers will be arranged by us.
Our Lakshadweep package tour from Kochi starts at ₹21,499 per person for a minimum of four travellers, in the Standard category.
Before you proceed any further, there is one point that needs your attention. This Lakshadweep package tour from Kochi begins and ends at Agatti Airport, not at Kochi. Kochi is the mainland city you fly out from, and the Kochi to Agatti flight is not included in the ₹21,499.
This is common with Lakshadweep packages and is not always stated clearly. It is the main reason why two quotations for the same package are significantly different. The cost section below outlines exactly what is and is not included in the number.
What This Lakshadweep Package from Kochi Covers
- Island: Four nights on Agatti, the island with the airport and the widest choice of stays.
- Permit: Entry permit for Lakshadweep arranged by us. Check the permit section for any changes for 2026.
- Meals: Breakfast, lunch, evening snacks, tea and dinner throughout your stay.
- Accommodation: A/C Deluxe or Super Deluxe rooms, in the category booked.
- Transfers: Agatti Airport pick up and drop.
- Sightseeing: All Agatti sightseeing as listed in the itinerary.
- Boat excursion: Private glass bottom boat to Kalpitti.
- Free water sports: Kayaking and snorkelling at Agatti.
- Support: 24×7 local coordinator.
The Lakshadweep package tour from Kochi is Agatti-based rather than an island-hopping route.
Since under permit system your permitted islands are pre-decided and hence, if you wish to visit Kavaratti, Kadmat, Bangaram or Kalpeni, let us know during your enquiry. We can provide you a proper itinerary instead of stopping at places you do not have legal permission to visit.
Lakshadweep Tour Packages from Kochi Price
| PACKAGE | DURATION | ROOM CATEGORY | PRICE PER PERSON | GROUP BASIS |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Lakshadweep from Kochi | 4 nights / 5 days | Standard | From ₹21,499 | Minimum 4 travellers |
What the ₹21,499 Does and Does Not Cover
This is one of the main questions people have when they reach this page, so here is the straight answer.
Included in ₹21,499 are all your four nights stay on Agatti Island, all meals, entry permit, airport transfers, sightseeing on Agatti Island, Kalpitti Glass bottom boat ride and free kayaking and snorkeling.
It does not include the flight. The airfare and train travel is excluded from it, and the Kochi-Agatti section normally is the most expensive item in a Lakshadweep tour excepting the package price. In addition, the cost of optional water sports like scuba diving, entrance fees and other personal expenses are not included.
We cannot give you any airfare quotation as the fare varies depending on the date, airline and advance booking. Ask us and we will quote you the complete cost based on your travel dates and not a package price which might appear cheaper than the real cost of the tour.
What Changes the Price
- Group size: The quoted cost applies to a minimum of four passengers. Boat rides, transfer charges and coordinator charges do not change much between a party of two and four; hence smaller groups have more per-person cost.
- Travel dates: Dates: Peak season, Christmas, New Year and school holiday seasons have separate prices and since Agatti has a limited number of rooms, last minute bookings mean no room rather than increased cost.
- Room category: The quoted cost applies to the Standard category. Other categories like Deluxe and Super Deluxe can be quoted on request.
- Duration: There are shorter and longer tours available at different costs.
- Activities: Scuba diving and other payable water sports are charged on arrival at the destination.
- The flight: This is the main variable and the one entirely outside the package.
Lakshadweep Tour Packages from Kochi Price for Family
This is the most frequently asked question on this route, hence it deserves a dedicated section.
The four-traveller minimum usually works in a family's favour. Two adults with two children fit well into the group basis policy, which results in the family of four being often offered a closer cost than a couple travelling alone.
Here are the four things to ask about when requesting a quote for a family:
- Child rates and age cut-offs: How children are charged, and at what age a child is treated as an adult, differs by property. Ask before you assume.
- Accommodation details: Your family's need for one room with an extra bed or two separate rooms influences the cost of the tour package more than anything else.
- Children’s airfares: Airline child fares and infant fare policies apply for Kochi to Agatti sector, which is excluded from the package.
- Activities suitable for children: Kayaking and snorkelling in the lagoon in Agatti Island are suitable for most children who can swim. Minimum age criteria apply for scuba diving.
Provide the age details of all persons travelling along with your enquiry. A family quote built on actual ages is accurate; one built on "two adults and two kids" is not.
Before You Compare Quotes
Ensure that all quotes have the same number of nights, the same island, the same meals and the same room occupancy. Also check whether the flight is included in or out of the package. Packages without airfare will definitely appear cheaper than those that include the airfare, for the same trip.

Lakshadweep Itinerary from Kochi: Day by Day
The first day involves flying to Agatti and transferring to your resort where you are having lunch. The rest of the day will take you to visit all the attractions of the island including the Museum, the eastern and western jetty, Lagoon Beach, Fish Hatchery and Antham Beach.
Flights usually arrive around the middle of the day, so treat Day 1 as a half-day rather than a full sightseeing day.”
- Overnight: Agatti
The day will begin with lagoon water sports. Kayaking and snorkeling are free; scuba diving and others are chargeable and organized locally.
After lunch you will enjoy the glass-bottom boat journey from the island to the unoccupied Kalpitti islet, where the coral garden and sunset awaits you. The reef visibility will depend on tides and rainfall.
- Overnight: Agatti
- All Meals
It’s a leisurely day without any fixed programs. Go for walking, cycling around the island, or just chill out. Two-wheelers can be arranged on request. Cultural programmes, campfire or candlelight dinner can be arranged if we know about your requirement in advance.
- Overnight: Agatti
- All Meals
A private boat excursion for dolphin spotting, with snorkelling over the reef. Dolphins are wild animals: sightings are common in season but cannot be guaranteed, and the boat runs either way. Lunch follows on your return, and the rest of the day is free.
- Overnight: Agatti
- All Meals
After breakfast, check out and transfer to Agatti Airport for your flight back to Kochi. Only a handful of flights leave Agatti each day, so a cancellation means an extra night rather than a later departure.
Please read the note on buffer nights before booking a same-day onward connection.

Charges to Check Before You Pay
Ask for a written list of what is payable on the island: the water sports you intend to do, scuba if anyone is diving, and any add-ons such as a candlelit dinner or room decoration. Most counters on Agatti take cash only.
Ask the same question about the flight. A quote that gives you the package rate and the current airfare together is the only one you can plan a budget around.

Lakshadweep Entry Permit: The 2026 Rules
Everyone Needs a Permit
Lakshadweep is a restricted area. Every non-islander on a Lakshadweep package tour from Kochi, Indian citizens included, needs an entry permit. That has not changed. What changed is how you get one.
What Was Removed in May 2026
Indian tourists no longer need a local sponsor from the islands, and no longer need a police clearance certificate from their home police station. Security verification now happens after application, carried out by the Lakshadweep police.
The old system would take weeks and a trip to the police station, making this the biggest change to Lakshadweep travel planning in years. Many published guidance still lists both requirements. If you have read elsewhere that you need a sponsor or a PCC, that information is out of date.
Your Permit Names Your Islands
The permit is issued for specific islands and you cannot add one after arrival. This is why the island has to be settled before the permit is filed, and why an itinerary that mentions islands it does not visit is worth questioning.
What We Need and When
Send full traveller details and identity documents well ahead of departure. Ask our team for the current document list and the lead time that applies to your dates, and file early if you are travelling in peak season.
Foreign Nationals and OCI Holders
Foreign nationals can visit, but access is limited to certain islands and additional verification applies. Tell us your nationality at enquiry so the position can be confirmed before anything is paid.

Best Time to Visit Lakshadweep from Kochi
The Season
The season for a Lakshadweep package tour from Kochi lasts from October through mid-May. Within that period, from December to March provides the best weather conditions with calmer waters and clearer water, as envisioned by most vacationers. October and April through mid-May are quiet shoulder seasons with good weather.
Why Rainfall Matters More Than Temperature
Lakshadweep is within a very narrow range of temperature all year round, and no visitor ever cancels their visit due to heat. The weather is largely influenced by the rainfall and sea conditions: whether the lagoon is clear, whether the boats run, and whether the reef is worth snorkelling.
The Monsoon: Mid-May to September
The southwest monsoon brings heavy rain and rough seas. Passenger ships are suspended, water sports close and the lagoon runs cloudy. Air connection keeps the islands accessible but this isn't the trip that most people have in mind.
Month-Wise Temperature and Rainfall in Lakshadweep
Now comes that one thing that you need to know before going through the table: the temperatures are more or less constant throughout the year. The average annual temperature in Lakshadweep is 27.9°C.
May is the warmest month at roughly 29.6°C and August the coolest at roughly 27.2°C, which is a spread of about two and a half degrees across the entire year. Daytime highs sit around 28 to 31°C and nights around 25 to 27°C in every month.
So temperature is not something that affects planning your holiday to this paradise. Rainfall and sea state are. Lakshadweep gets roughly 1,600 mm of rain a year, and almost all of it falls between May and November. June is the wettest month at close to 400 mm. January and February are the driest, with rain measured in single-digit rainy days.
| MONTH | DAYTIME HIGH | NIGHT LOW | RAINFALL | SEA AND VERDICT |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| January | 29 to 30°C | 25 to 26°C | Very low, around 2 rainy days | Calmest sea, clearest water. Best of the year |
| February | 29 to 30°C | 25 to 26°C | Lowest of the year | Excellent. Best of the year |
| March | 30 to 31°C | 26 to 27°C | Very low | Excellent, warming up |
| April | 30 to 31°C | 26 to 27°C | Low, rising late in the month | Good, but hot. Swells build towards month end |
| May | 30 to 31°C | 26 to 27°C | Rains begin | Warmest month. Season closes around mid-May |
| June | 29 to 30°C | 25 to 26°C | Heaviest of the year | Monsoon. Ships suspended, water sports closed |
| July | 29 to 30°C | 25 to 26°C | Heavy | Monsoon. Not a beach month |
| August | 29 to 30°C | 25 to 26°C | Heavy, around 13 rainy days | Coolest month, but rough and wet |
| September | 29 to 30°C | 25 to 26°C | Heavy, starting to ease | Still rough |
| October | 30 to 31°C | 26 to 27°C | Moderate and falling | Season reopening. Shoulder month |
| November | 29 to 30°C | 25 to 26°C | Low | Calm and clear. Very good |
| December | 29 to 30°C | 25 to 26°C | Very low | Calm and clear. Very good |
Figures are indicative long-term averages for the central Lakshadweep islands, not a forecast. Conditions on any given day are what the boat crews work to.

How to Reach Lakshadweep from Kochi
Lakshadweep Tour Package from Kochi by Flight
Kochi is the main gateway. Cochin International Airport has direct flights to Agatti (AGX), which is the only airport in the archipelago open to tourists. The sector is served by Alliance Air, IndiGo and Fly91, and the flight takes roughly an hour.
Three practical points that catch people out:
- Agatti's runway is about 1,204 metres, so only turboprops operate. There are no jet services and there never will be at that length.
- Baggage allowances are tighter than on a standard domestic flight. Confirm the allowance for your carrier before you pack.
- There are only a few flights a day. A cancellation costs you a day, not a few hours. Keep a buffer night in Kochi at the end of your trip rather than booking a same-day onward connection.
By Sea
Government passenger ships sail from Kochi, Beypore and Mangalore, booked through the IRCTC Lakshadweep portal. The crossing takes roughly 14 to 20 hours depending on the island.
It is the cheapest way to reach the islands and genuinely pleasant in season, but schedules move with the weather and ships do not run through the monsoon. If you want a ship-based itinerary rather than a flight, ask, because it is a different package from this Lakshadweep package tour from Kochi.
Getting to Kochi
Cochin International Airport is well connected across India, and Kochi has good rail and road links from across Kerala and the neighbouring states. Accommodation in Kochi is not part of this package; ask if you would like nights added either side.

Places You'll Visit
Agatti
The island you stay on: a narrow coral atoll with a long lagoon on one side, the airstrip running much of its length, and a small resident community. The lagoon is shallow and sheltered, which is what makes the snorkelling and kayaking here suitable for beginners.
Kalpitti
A small uninhabited islet off Agatti, reached by glass bottom boat. The draw is the coral around it and the sunset from the sandbank. It is a short boat trip and a beach walk rather than a hike.
Not Included on This Itinerary
Kavaratti, Bangaram, Thinnakara, Kadmat, Minicoy and Kalpeni are not part of this package. Nor are the Ujra Mosque, the Kavaratti marine aquarium or the Kavaratti lighthouse, all of which are on Kavaratti. Each needs its own permit and its own arrangements.
If you want any of them, ask and we will quote a different itinerary. We would rather send you the right package than have you arrive expecting an island your permit does not cover.

Island Life, Food and Etiquette
Agatti is a small inhabited island where people live ordinary lives, not a resort with a village attached. Dress modestly away from the beach and the lagoon, and ask before photographing people or homes. The islands are predominantly Muslim; be mindful around prayer times and treat the mosque as a place of worship.
The reef is protected and fragile. Do not stand on or touch coral, and do not collect shells or coral to take home. Reef-safe sunscreen matters in water this shallow.
Food is seafood-led, with tuna as the staple alongside coconut, rice and local preparations. Pork is not available.
Vegetarian food can be arranged, but supplies reach the island by boat, so vegetarian, Jain or allergy requirements need to be given at booking rather than requested at dinner. Tell us at enquiry and we will brief the property before you fly.
On alcohol, the position changed in 2026. The Lakshadweep Excise Regulation, 2026 took effect on 5 June 2026 and replaced the prohibition regulation that had stood since 1979, moving alcohol onto a licensing framework.
Availability depends on licensing being in place at a given island and property, and that is still working through. Ask about your specific property rather than assuming, and do not carry alcohol with you.

Practical Notes
Cash and Payments
ATM access on Agatti is limited and card acceptance is patchy. Withdraw what you need in Kochi and carry small notes for boats, activities and local purchases.
Mobile and Internet
Coverage is limited and slower than the mainland, and varies by operator. Do not plan on working from Agatti, and tell people at home you may be out of contact at times.
Sun, Water and the Lagoon
Fresh water is limited and largely desalinated, so use it carefully. There is very little shade on the beach, and a rash guard and hat will do more for you than sunscreen alone.
What to Pack
- Water shoes for reef entry and a dry bag for phones and cameras on boat days.
- A rash guard or light long-sleeved top for snorkelling.
- Any regular medication in sufficient quantity; there is no pharmacy to fall back on.
- Modest clothing for the village and the walk to the jetties.
- Motion sickness tablets if boats affect you.

Who This Tour Suits
Families
The four-traveller basis suits a family of four well, the lagoon is shallow and calm, and the pace is slow. Children who can swim will get the most out of the water days. Send ages with your enquiry so the quote and the activities can be matched to them.
Couples and Small Groups
A Lakshadweep package tour from Kochi works well for couples who want quiet over nightlife, and for small groups of friends. Note that the headline rate assumes four travellers, so a couple travelling alone should ask for a separate quote rather than expect the listed figure.
Manageable With Planning
Older travellers and families with toddlers can do this comfortably. The activities are optional, the lagoon is calm and life jackets are provided. The considerations are the small aircraft, the tight baggage allowance and the limited medical facilities on the island.
Think Carefully Before Booking
Anyone on a fixed onward schedule with no flexibility should think about the flight risk into and out of Agatti. The same applies to anyone who needs shops, restaurant choice, reliable connectivity or full resort infrastructure. Agatti has none of those, which is the point for most people who go.

Booking and Cancellation Policy
Booking Your Tour
- Send your travel dates, the number of travellers and the ages of any children.
- Tell us about dietary requirements at this stage, not after arrival.
- Send identity documents early so the permit can be filed in time.
- Ask for the package rate and the current airfare together, so you are budgeting against a total.
- A 50% advance is required for confirmation. Super peak bookings require 100% payment.
- The full balance is payable at least three days before check-in.
- Booking communication is sent by email and a company service voucher is issued.
Cancellation and Super Peak Bookings
Cancellation charges apply to all bookings and rise closer to check-in. There is no refund for cancellation within 72 hours of check-in, a no-show or a shortened stay. Super peak bookings carry a 100% cancellation charge once booked.
Request the applicable cancellation schedule and the exact super peak dates before paying. Because this trip depends on a limited flight schedule, also ask what applies if a flight is cancelled, who bears an extra night, and what happens if a permit is not approved in time. Get those answers in writing.
Why Book with Touristhub Holidays?
We Quote the Whole Trip, Not Just the Package
We will give you the Lakshadweep package tour from Kochi rate and the current airfare together. A package price that leaves out the flight is not a budget you can plan against, and we would rather have that conversation before you book than after.
Permits Filed Under the Current Rules
We file your entry permit under the 2026 process, without the sponsor and police clearance requirements that a lot of published guidance still repeats.
Family Quotes Built on Actual Ages
Send us everyone's ages and we will build the quote around real child rates and a real room configuration, rather than a placeholder that changes when you book.
A Coordinator in Kochi
We have a coordinator based in Kochi as well as a 24×7 local contact during your trip. Use your enquiry to settle dietary needs, baggage questions and your flight timings.

Frequently Asked Questions
No. Airfare is excluded from the Lakshadweep package tour from Kochi and is usually the largest cost after the package itself. Ask us for the package rate and the current fare for your dates together, so you can budget against a total rather than a partial figure.
The lowest rate is normally the shortest duration, the Standard room category and the full group basis, travelling outside peak season. Ship travel instead of flying also brings the total down. We will show you the honest options for your dates rather than quoting a low package rate and leaving the flight out of the conversation.
The four-traveller minimum usually means a family of four is quoted close to the headline rate. What moves it is child rates, whether you need one room or two, and children's airfare. Send everyone's ages for an accurate quote.
Four nights suits most first visits and gives you two full activity days, a free day and time to settle in. Shorter trips feel rushed once the flight timings are taken into account. Longer trips make sense if you want more than one island.
You need an entry permit, which we arrange. You no longer need a police clearance certificate or a local sponsor, both removed in May 2026. Verification is now done after application by the Lakshadweep police.
Indian citizens do not need a passport, but a valid government photo identity document is required for the permit. Foreign nationals should tell us their nationality at enquiry, as island access and verification differ.
Agatti, with a boat excursion to the Kalpitti islet. Kavaratti, Bangaram, Thinnakara, Kadmat, Minicoy and Kalpeni are not included and would need a different permit and a different itinerary.
No. Kayaking and snorkelling at Agatti are complimentary. Scuba diving and other water sports are chargeable and arranged locally, subject to a fitness declaration and minimum age.
Yes, but it must be requested at booking. Supplies reach Agatti by boat and there is no shop to make up a shortfall, so requirements are briefed to the property in advance.
The Lakshadweep Excise Regulation, 2026 replaced the 1979 prohibition regulation with effect from 5 June 2026, moving alcohol onto a licensing system. Availability depends on licensing at each property, so ask about yours specifically. Do not carry alcohol with you.
October to mid-May, with December to March the clearest. The southwest monsoon from mid-May to September brings rough seas and suspended sailings.
Only a few flights serve Agatti each day, so a cancellation usually costs a day rather than a few hours. Keep a buffer night in Kochi at the end of your trip, and ask us in writing what applies to your booking if a sector is cancelled.
Yes. Passenger ships run from Kochi, Beypore and Mangalore, booked through the IRCTC Lakshadweep portal, taking roughly 14 to 20 hours. Ships do not operate through the monsoon. Ask us for a ship-based itinerary, as it is quoted differently.
